Annapurna Base camp trek-8 days is the shortest straightforward yet safe trek to Annapurna Base Camp. This program is recommended for those people who have only 8 days for trek (except your arrival, departure and Kathmandu-Pokhara-Kathmandu transfer time) and want to utilize those to reach the core of Annapurna Himalayas, the sanctuary, the Himalayan amphitheater. You can even finish this trek in 7 days if you are too tight of time and have no problem walking over 6-7 hours per day for some days. If you have longer time for trek, there are other routes recommended (please see other recommended routes) which offers you walk through some more villages inhabited by the local ethnics like Magar, Gurung thus some more cultural exposure. On the longer trek you can walk through some more forests and wilderness and some more fantastic views of mountains.

This shortest 8 days Annapurna Base Camp trek can be started after a short drive to Nayapul, but if you want to cut out the walk, then you can even drive further through dirt road to the place called Siwai and on the last day (day 8) walk only upto Kimche and drive through dirt road instead of walking all the way to Nayapul.  So, if you are looking or short yet safe route to ABC; then this 8 days itinerary is the best.  Please write us if you have any questions regarding 8- days Annapurna Base Camp Trek or if you curiosities regarding trip modification/customization.

Itinerary

Day 1 From Pokhara Drive to Nayapul and trek to Jhinu Danda (1760m/5770 ft) 2 hours drive and 4 hours trek (from Nayapul its 6-7 hours trek)

Day 2 Trek from Jhinu Danda to Chhomrong  (2170m/7120ft) 5-6 hours

Day 3 Trek Chhomrong to Dovan(2600m/6190ft) 6-7 hours

Day 4 Trek Dovan to Deurali (3200m/10500ft) 4-5 hours

Day 5 Trek Deurali to Annapurna Base Camp (4,130m/13,545ft) via Machhapuchre Base Camp (3700m/12135ft) 2-3 hours trek

Day 6 Trek Annapurna Base Camp to Bamboo (2310m/7576ft) 6-7 hours

Day 7 Trek Bamboo to Ghandruk (1780m/5840ft) 6-7 hours

Day 8 Trek Ghandruk to Nayapaul and drive back to Pokhara. 4-5  hours trek. 1 hour drive
